A site is being prepared on the Irtysh for the second stage of the Krasnogorsk hydroelectric complex

Omsk plans to make changes to town-planning documents in order to prepare a site for the construction of the second stage of the Krasnogorsk hydroelectric complex. This was reported by the city administration to the Om1 Omsk portal.

We are talking about adjusting the Land Use and Development Plan. The authorities propose to change the status of the territorial zone T-1, which is now intended only for external transport facilities. After the changes, it will be possible to erect hydraulic structures on these lands.

The site where the preparation is planned to begin is located on the right bank of the Irtysh — opposite the already existing part of the hydroelectric complex. Its cadastral number is 55:36:030114:4749. They are going to build an earthen dam and an access road at this place. The project has already been sent for public discussion.

Recall that the second stage includes the overlap of the Irtysh riverbed. Earlier, the authorities stated that the work could start in 2026.
