A small hydroelectric power station on the Damarik canal was launched in the Tashkent region

A small hydroelectric power station has been commissioned on the Damarik canal in the Zangiata district of the Tashkent region. The capacity of the launched facility, which is the first stage of the implementation of a larger project, is 320 kW. The construction is carried out at the expense of a private entrepreneur.

It is planned that after the completion of the second stage and reaching the full design capacity – 640 kW – the station will be able to generate about 3.2 million kWh of electricity annually. According to the calculations of the Ministry of Energy, this volume will make it possible to stably provide electricity to about 1300 households in the region.

According to the press service of the Ministry, the opening ceremony of the new energy facility was combined with a practical training seminar for entrepreneurs interested in investing and building similar small hydropower plants.
