A new small hydroelectric power station “Shamshy” with a capacity of 1.7 MW was launched in the Chui region
In the Chui region of the Kyrgyz Republic, on the territory of the village of Shamshy, an official ceremony of commissioning a new small hydroelectric power station “Shamshy” was held. Information about the launch of the facility and its technical characteristics was provided by the company “Chakan HPP”.

The installed capacity of the new station is 1.7 MW. According to the calculations of power engineers, the amount of electricity generated here is enough to cover up to 12% of the total demand of the entire Chui district. This will partially relieve existing networks and improve energy distribution.
The solemn event on the occasion of the opening was attended by representatives of public authorities and the management of the energy company. The new small HPP is designed to increase the reliability of power supply to the population and minimize the risks of emergency outages.
