80% of construction works have been completed at the Sebzor Dam
To date, 80% of construction work has been completed at the Sebzor hydroelectric power station. This is reported by NIAT “Khovar” with reference to the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The Minister of Energy and Water Resources of the Republic of Tajikistan Daler Juma in Roshtkalinsky district of Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region got acquainted with the progress of construction work at the Sebzor hydroelectric power station.
According to the responsible persons, construction work is actively continuing, all available resources have been mobilized for the timely completion of the facility and its commissioning in 2025.
During the trip, the Minister instructed the responsible persons to ensure constant control over the construction process, taking into account the strategic and social importance of this Dam, as well as strictly observe the quality and timing of technical work.
The Sebzor hydroelectric power station, which is being built on the Shohdara River, will have a capacity of 11 megawatts. After commissioning, the total energy capacity of GBAO will increase by 25%.
According to the ministry, the new facility will not only provide stable power supply to the local population, but also significantly expand the opportunities for socio-economic development of the region.
Recall, it was first planned to launch the first unit of the Sebzor Dam until 2024, then its launch was scheduled for 2024.
