A new small HPP will be built in the Chui region for 516 million soms
The State Development Bank of Kyrgyzstan will direct financing for the construction of a small hydroelectric power station on the Tuyuk River, located in the Issyk-Ata district of the Chui region. The project will be implemented by Chuirusgidro. The total investment in the creation of a new energy facility will amount to 516 million soms.
The design capacity of the new small HPP will be 7.5 megawatts. The plant is expected to generate 29.16 million kilowatt-hours of electricity annually. According to calculations, this volume is sufficient for a stable supply of electricity to about 15 thousand people, which will also reduce the frequency of power outages in the region.
The implementation of the project is part of a strategy to develop sustainable energy infrastructure and stimulate the economy at the local level. Seven permanent jobs will be created at the new station. The projected annual tax deductions to the budget after the commissioning of the facility will exceed 15 million soms.
In addition to the hydroelectric power station building itself, the project provides for the creation of related infrastructure. In particular, new power transmission lines and substations will be built. These measures are aimed at comprehensively improving the reliability of the entire power supply system of Issyk-Ata district.
