The Chinese company Zenith Hydro Electrics is building a hydroelectric power station in Namangan region
In the Namangan region of the Republic of Uzbekistan, work continues on the development of the energy infrastructure of the region by attracting foreign investment. Khokim of the region Shavkatjon Abdurazzakov visited the Uychinsky district, where he got acquainted with the construction project of a new small hydroelectric power station. The initiative is being implemented in cooperation with the Chinese company Zenith Hydro Electrics, which is a partner in this endeavor.
According to the presented plan, the capacity of the future power plant will be 2 MW. The total cost of the investment project is estimated at 5 million US dollars. Construction and installation works are planned for the period 2025-2026.
It is expected that the commissioning of a new small HPP will have a positive impact on the socio-economic situation of the district. The launch of the station will ensure stable and uninterrupted power supply to local consumers, reducing the load on existing networks. In addition, the operation of the facility will create 15 permanent jobs for specialists in the energy sector.
During the visit to the construction site, the head of the region held talks with representatives of the investor company. The parties discussed current organizational issues and stages of implementation of the plan. Shavkatjon Abdurazzakov gave instructions to the responsible heads of relevant structures to promptly resolve all issues that arise in order to prevent lagging behind schedule.
As noted in the press service of the regional khokimiyat, this project is part of the strategy for the development of renewable energy sources in the region. The construction of a small HPP not only contributes to the modernization of the local energy system, but also serves as an example of successful strengthening of international cooperation with foreign partners in the industrial sector.
