The contractor was fined for a bribe during the construction of a hydroelectric complex on the Irtysh

The construction organization was fined 500 thousand rubles in Omsk for a bribe to an official of the regional government institution “Management of the customer for the construction of transport facilities and hydraulic structures,” according to senior assistant to the regional prosecutor Tatyana Bulikhova.

It was established that the head of the construction company handed over to the employee of the customer’s Department for the construction of transport facilities and hydraulic structures a bribe in the amount of more than 1.2 million rubles for assistance in concluding state contracts for construction, installation and other types of work at the facilities of the Krasnogorsk hydroelectric complex on the Irtysh, as well as unhindered acceptance of completed works and facilitating their timely payment.

“The Prosecutor’s Office has initiated an administrative offense case against the limited liability company under Part 1 of Article 19.28 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation (illegal remuneration on behalf of a legal entity). According to the results of its consideration, the organization was fined 500 thousand rubles, ” the report says.

Bulikhova notes that after the court ruling comes into force, the construction company will not be able to participate in state and municipal procurement for two years.

As previously reported, the court found the former official responsible for the construction of the Krasnogorsk hydroelectric complex on the Irtysh guilty under Part 6 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (receiving a bribe for illegal actions on an especially large scale) and sentenced to three years in a strict regime colony with a fine of more than 2.4 million rubles.
