A general contractor has been selected for the reconstruction of Lebedinovskaya HPP

Open Joint Stock Company “Chakan HPP” has completed the selection procedure for the general contractor who will implement the project for the reconstruction of the Lebedinovskaya hydroelectric power station. This is reported by the press service of the energy company. The initiative is aimed at comprehensive modernization of equipment, increasing the overall productivity of the facility and extending its service life.

The plan of upcoming works covers a wide range of tasks, including the renovation of hydraulic structures and the major replacement of generator equipment. An important stage will be the introduction of modern digital control systems and automation of technological processes. According to the forecasts of the company’s specialists, the successful implementation of the project will bring significant economic and technical effect. In particular, it is planned to increase the installed capacity of the station from the current 7.6 to 10 MW.

In addition to capacity growth, modernization will significantly increase the volume of generation: annual electricity generation should increase from 37.2 to 53.5 million kilowatt-hours. Also, the renewal of key nodes is designed to increase the reliability and stability of the operation of a hydroelectric power plant in a single power system.

The company clarified that the procedure for opening applications for the final stage of the competition has already taken place. The tender materials passed the necessary assessment and were sent for approval to the international partner – the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. Based on the results of the selection, a specialized organization has been identified that will take over the execution of key construction, installation and technical works.
