Kyrgyzstan Tenders Land for 15 Solar and Hydropower Plants

The Green Energy Fund of Kyrgyzstan has announced a tender for land lease rights for the construction of fifteen renewable energy facilities. The projects include three large-scale solar power plants and twelve small hydropower plants to be developed across several regions of the country.

The hydropower component of the tender consists of sites for small plants located in mountainous areas. The largest planned facility, with a capacity of 35 megawatts, will be situated in the Kadamzhai district of the Batken region. The other eleven hydropower plants will have generating capacities ranging from 2–22.5 megawatts and will be located in the Osh, Talas, Jalal-Abad, and Issyk-Kul regions. The land parcels allocated for development include municipal lands and territories within the state forest fund, such as the Karkara and Karakol forestries.

The deadline for submitting applications from potential investors is the evening of April 2, 2026. The review of documents and the tender itself will take place on April 3 at the Green Energy Fund’s office on Erkindik Boulevard in Bishkek. Interested parties must request technical documentation and the current list of developer requirements from the tender organizers to participate.
