Parts of the Krasnogorsk hydroelectric complex on the Irtysh put up for sale
On March 17, 2025, the Minister of Property Relations of the Omsk Region, Yevgeny Kozlov, signed an order on the terms of privatization of property located in the village of Krasnaya Gorka at the construction site of the Krasnogorsk hydroelectric complex on the cross-border Irtysh River. According to this document, 47 different metal structures were put up for auction, which were manufactured more than 10 years ago. They were supposed to become part of the hydroelectric complex.
“Metal structures that were manufactured in 2012-2013 have been put up for privatization. The metal structures are not complete and are not planned for further use, so the movable property was transferred to the regional treasury for its privatization at auction,” the press service of the Omsk Region Minimushchestvo told RBC Omsk.
Emergency repair sliding and double-leaf rack gates, supporting parts of gates and much more are put up for auction. The initial price of each element ranges from 38 thousand to 41,2 million rubles. After the manufacture of these metal structures, they did not have time to mount them.
The construction of the Krasnogorsk water-receiving hydroelectric complex began in 2011. This facility, according to the project developers, is necessary to regulate the water level in the Irtysh. The estimated cost of construction was 8.4 billion rubles. In 3 years, the left-bank part of the facility was 53% ready. But in 2014, the construction of the hydraulic structure was stopped due to the bankruptcy of the general contractor, NGO Mostovik.
On July 19, 2022, a contract was signed for the construction of the start–up complex of the hydroelectric power plant with a new contractor, Mezhregionstroy LLC. The contract amount amounted to 4.6 billion rubles. In September 2024, it became known that the cost of work had risen to 5.3 billion rubles.
