Kyrgyzstan offers ADB to invest in the Kambar-Ata HPP-1 project
Today, on November 4, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov received Vice-President of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Yinmin Yang. This was reported by the presidential press service.
The Head of State said that the economy of Kyrgyzstan is showing steady growth. He paid special attention to the energy sector, which is a key priority for the country.
The President also invited ADB to participate in the implementation of the Kambar-Ata HPP-1 project.
“In Kyrgyzstan, the past years have been devoted to fighting corruption and eradicating the influence of crime, and this has allowed laying a solid foundation for further economic growth and sustainable development of the country,” the Presidential Administration noted.
In turn, ADB Vice-President Yingmin Yang said that he highly appreciates the achievements of Kyrgyzstan in socio-economic development.
He expressed readiness to continue providing comprehensive support to Kyrgyzstan, especially in such priority areas as hydropower and renewable energy sources, climate projects, as well as social programs that promote inclusive development.
The parties agreed on further development of cooperation, which will strengthen the economic basis of the country.
