The launch dates of the first stage of the Krasnogorsk hydroelectric power plant have been postponed

The completion of the construction of the start-up complex of the Krasnogorsk hydroelectric power plant on the Irtysh near Omsk was postponed. According to the portal Om1.ru With reference to the information of the Ministry of Transport and Road Facilities of the Omsk region, due to the partial postponement of federal funding for 2026, the deadline for the first stage of construction of the hydroelectric complex has been extended until November 1, 2026. At the beginning of February 2025, a corresponding decree of the government of the Omsk region appeared on changing the essential terms of the state contract. It was previously assumed that the first stage of construction would be completed in 2025.

It also became known that the design work on the second stage of the construction of the Krasnogorsk hydroelectric complex has been completed. In January, the project documentation was sent to the FAA “Glavgosexpertiza of Russia” for state examination.

The works on the construction of the start-up complex of the waterworks are carried out by Mezhregionstroy LLC. The contract in the amount of 4.6 billion rubles. with the contractor was concluded on July 19, 2022. In September 2024, it became known that the cost of work had risen to 5.3 billion rubles.

The cost of construction of the second stage will be determined based on the results of the state examination.

Krasnogorsk hydroelectric complex is one of the largest long-term construction projects in the Omsk region, along with Omsk-Fedorovka airport and the metro. Earlier, RBC Omsk reported that Mostovik started building it in 2011. The estimated cost of construction was 8.4 billion rubles. In 3 years, the left-bank part of the waterworks was ready by 53%. But in 2014, Mostovik became bankrupt. The construction of the hydraulic structure was stopped. The company Mezhregionstroy resumed it.

According to data at the beginning of December 2024, the readiness level of the first stage of the waterworks was 36.6%.
